One of the most successful Brownie packs in the Swindon area has celebrated its 50th anniversary.
And so many people wanted to attend a party to mark the big event in the history of the 1st Wroughton Brownie Pack that it had to be switched to a bigger hall.
The pack usually meets in the guide and brownie headquarters at Weirfield, but it was decided there would not be enough room for everybody and the event was held at the Ellendune Community Centre instead.
The pack is one of three thriving at Wroughton and has a full membership with 22 girls aged between seven and ten.
Brown Owl Sue Wiles said that although the pack had been running without a break for 50 years, it had originally been formed in 1921 but closed 25 years later.
"So you see we could be celebrating 75 years," she said.
Among those present on Wednesday night were several former brownies and supporters, including Pat Crossley, who now lives in Swindon and was a member of the pack in 1951, although she did admit she could recall little of what things were like in those early days.
