MATT HEYWOOD is in no mood to ease Wigan's campaign of woe.

The central defender is on a high after netting his second goal of the season on Wednesday night.

Heywood is enjoying his football after being 'rested' earlier in the campaign.

Tomorrow's trip to the JJB Stadium cannot come quickly enough.

"It should be a decent game and we'll be looking to build on the performance and the points we picked up against Wrexham.

"Getting that win was so, so important. You have to make sure you don't get into a rut of losing games.

"Wigan haven't started as well as people would have thought, particularly after making the play-offs last year.

"But we certainly won't be going there thinking we just have to turn up to get the points.

"We've come unstuck too many times to think that.

"But the signs have been good in the last couple of games.

"Eric Sabin has scored a couple of goals and I hope that's the start of a good run for him.

I also think we've worked well as a unit in the last two matches.

"I think there is still more to come because we know we are capable of better performances.

"Wigan is a nice ground, although the atmosphere can be a bit strange because they certainly don't get the supporters in to fill it.

"But wherever we play and whatever the surroundings, it's all about being professional and trying to get the points to push us that bit further up the table."
