ONE of Swindon's top tourist attractions was today (Saturday) beginning a weekend of Christmas fun.
The Steam museum's Christmas Cracker event was set to include a visit by Father Christmas and the chance for young visitors to help decorate his grotto. Local artist Gordon Dickinson was scheduled to be on hand to help with the craft session.
Meanwhile, entertainment for parents was being lined up in the form of music by local performers such as the Ramsbury Silver Band.
The museum is also running a Steam Christmas Trail event throughout the festive period, offering children the chance to follow clues among the displays and win prizes.
On Thursday, the Salvation Army Band will perform a carol concert among the displays.
Details of all events at Steam can be obtained by telephoning the museum on Swindon 466646.
