AN MP has added her voice to the chorus questioning the Prime Minister about funding for Swindon Schools.
Julia Drown, who represents South Swindon, tackled Tony Blair in the House of Commons.
She asked whether he would "agree that, despite the significant increase in funding that Labour has given Swindon schools, it is wrong that areas with better exam results such as Chingford and Woodford Green, get £1000 more per pupil".
She added: "Will the Prime Minister take steps to put this right, not in two years time, but in next year's settlement?"
The Prime Minister responded that measures would be taken to ensure that funding in Swindon schools would continue to rise.
Ms Drown has backed repeated calls from Swindon Council for the funding discrepancy to be rectified.
