A THEATRE group has been helping youngsters make sense of the confusing range of options open to them when they leave school.
ImpAct has been commissioned by the Learning and Skills Council to stage a series of lively presentations to untangle the web of opportunities for school leavers.
The group toured most secondary schools in Swindon, over three weeks, finishing with Wootton Bassett Comprehensive yesterday.
The group will then go on to tour secondary schools around the country.
Julie Hutchinson, marketing executive for the Wiltshire and Swindon branch of the Learning and Skills Council said: "Unfortunately, some young people drop out of learning due to initially choosing the route not best suited to their individual learning needs.
"They make a choice based on how colourful the brochure is or where their friends go rather than how they best like to learn.
"These events helped demonstrate that by choosing the right route for an individual's learning need, learning can be rewarding and fun."
