Swindon Supermarine and Chippenham Town were without games at the weekend, but both clubs had a busy time in the transfer market.
Marine manager John Murphy has been holding talks with numerous potential acquisitions, and hopes to tie up deals this week.
The Hunts Copse supremo said: "I have been talking to two defenders and a midfielder. We will have a good look at them at training this week, and hopefully deals can be finalised by Wednesday."
With at least two of the three likely to put pen to paper, members of the current squad may find themselves surplus to requirements.
Midfielder Tony Joyce and forward Matty Saye look most likely to make way for new signings.
Both players look set to complete moves to old Hellenic rivals Highworth over the next few days.
Chippenham have finally solved their goalkeeping crisis by signing Weston-super-Mare No.1 Steve Weaver.
The former Bristol City shot-stopper fills the void left by Ian Jones who quit the Bluebirds back in September.
