"They are a very good passing side," said player-boss Lardner.
"We've been defending really well recently, but we couldn't cope with them."
Corsham Town cruised into round two of the Les Phillips Cup courtesy of a 2-0 home win over league adversaries Shepton Mallet.
Mark Godley's side who were beaten by the Somerset outfit a fortnight ago gained sweet revenge thanks to first-half strikes from Andy Wicks and Rob Humphreys.
Calne Town's season of woe continued, as they were eliminated 2-1 by fellow Division One side Street.
