A FAMILY buying a house for £60,000 in Penhill will save £600 thanks to a rule-change, an MP claims.
Michael Wills says the saving is possible because Chancellor Gordon Brown abolished stamp duty on properties costing less than £150,000 in his pre-budget report.
Mr Wills, who represents North Swindon, says the change is designed to attract new investment and new business to areas with slow growth and high unemployment.
