THREE girls from the Rodbourne cadets have received the highest honour the St John's Ambulance can give.
Kirsty Sarahs, 15, from Rodbourne Road and Nicola Saunders, 16, from Harcourt Road who are cousins, and a third girl Emma Hall, 18, from Cheney Manor, have been awarded the Grand Prior certificate.
They were each presented with a certificate and a badge for their hard work at the annual review.
Barbara Webb, divisional superin-tendent for the Rodbourne Cadets said they had all benefited from the experience.
She said: "This is when they get rewarded for all their hard work.
"It teaches the cadets life and social skills which they find very useful."
The meeting was attended by the parents and friends of the cadets and by the president Ruby Bridges, aged 71.
The group, which has sixteen members, meets at Brunel House in Rodbourne Road on Monday nights at 6.15pm.
