TIME to start the rumours mongering again. While enjoying a post-Wigan drink in Old Town on Saturday night, who should wander in to the bar but Frank Lampard.

The Chelsea midfielder's appearance immediately sparked rumours of his unrest at Stamford Bridge and a possible move to the County Ground.

Strangely enough that particular theory turned out to be total codswallop.

But there was no shortage of volunteers to buy him a drink, particularly as he had helped humiliate Manchester United earlier that afternoon. Cheers Frank!

Still on the subject of rumours, Kenny Dalglish was spotted at the JJB Stadium on Saturday.

Yes, I know his son was playing for Wigan but you just never know do you.

I joked to Town chief executive Pete Rowe that starting a few Dalglish rumours would at least make a change from whispers about Front Gardens, boardroom struggles and cash crises.

He sighed: 'If only that's all I had to worry about."

IT seems Roy Evans has managed to overcome Town's cash flow problem and bring in some new signings.

According to the Wigan matchday programme David Duke's number 11 shirt has now been taken over by a David Burke!

And sadly, Bertie Brayley also appears to have been shown the door. His number 18 has been swiped by some chap called Eric Bayley. Roy has also signed a new Italian striker by the name of Guialoni Grazioli. Obviously a relation of our own Graz I assume.
