SALISBURY and Downton company ColourCare is still awaiting the outcome of the investigation by the Competition Commis-sion into the sale of its photo processing division to Kodak.
But Chris Sheath, ColourCare's managing director, remains confident about the outcome and expects a decision by the end of the year.
The complex deal with Kodak, put together earlier this year, will see ColourCare retain its collection and delivery operation, and add to it Kodak Processing's distribution network.
It will also provide specialist distribution services to other customers under the name of Printmovers, and lease its laboratory at Downton to Kodak Processing.
Printmovers operates with a fleet of 350 vans and is backed up by 450 staff.
Newly appointed national distribution manager Paul Martin says Printmovers will set standards that will attract considerable contract work.
"The specialist distribution service takes into account the needs of every customer," he said.
"Many will receive same-day service and our target maximum turn-around time is 24 hours, even for country locations."
