Management solutions company Blick UK Ltd, which employs 200 people at its Swindon headquarters has reported an increased turnover and steady profits for the year to September 30.
Turnover on continuing businesses was up three per cent at £72.7m.
Chief executive Vanda Murray said: "Despite increased competition in some markets, Blick's performance in 2001 was reassuring.
"The three divisions were profitable, although performances were mixed.
"Over the next year, the actions that were taken in 2001 reducing both our cost base and our exposure to non-core businesses should mean the group is well placed to cope with any temporary slowdown in the markets it serves.
"Longer term, our strategy offers Blick many growth opportunities."
Blick chairman and founder Alan Elliot noted that the year under review had been a difficult one but, in testing market conditions, he was pleased to report that profits had been maintained.
"World events have created a difficult trading environment, but the company has delivered satisfactory results for the year under review," he said.
"With a healthy order book of £8.8m , I am confident."
