A Quiet day at Wootton Bassett Methodist Church on Saturday offered an opportunity to reflect on the approach of Christmas.
It was led by the Rev Ann Baldock, who said: "The point of the day was to give people some space away from the busyness and rush all around us at this time of year."
Aspects of Advent featured in three short introductory sessions, followed by time for meditation, reading or artistic expression
"We considered the way we approach Christmas today, in the Church and in the world," said the Rev Baldock.
"It was a very peaceful, tranquil time, and we were able to explore our own ideas and thoughts," said Elizabeth Moss, one of those who attended.
