ROADRUNNERS FC were the highest scorers of the day as they swamped KSM with a goal blitz to run out easy 13-3 winners in their Division Four game in the in the Vanitec Computers sponsored Chippenham Sunday League.

Steve Ivin hit five to take his tally for the season to 22. Andy Zuk (3), Rich Eddy (2), Wesley Gilcrest, Gareth Simmonds, Lee Ovens netted for the winners others while Stuart Kofie (2) and Steve Hunt with a 20 yard screamer netted KSM's consolations.

Old Road Tavern's Matt Trearey found the mark after only 16 seconds against Westbury Rangers B, before Rangers hit back through Sam Gooding on 30 minutes and Dave Jones in the 84th minute to earn a 2-1 win.

Colerne B stormed to a 5-1 victory over King Alfred. Chris Hawkins, Ryan Wilcox, Steve McCall, Martin Lintern and Paul Kilgour shared Colerne's goals after Lee Tatum had given King Alfred the lead.

Premier Division

PILOT lost the chance to move clear at the top when their game against Corsham Centre United, due to be played at Christie-Miller, was unable to proceed due to lack of pitch markings.

Corsham FC took full advantage to reclaim top spot as they brushed aside the challenge of an understrength Malmesbury Town team with a 3-1 win. Corsham were in control throughout and would have taken the lead early on had Simon Young not had a penalty saved by Town goalkeeper Stuart Pound. Malcolm King (2) and Russell Gibbings netted for Corsham, with Alan Griffin hitting the Town's consolation.

Wayne Munday claimed the only goal as Box Rovers beat the Packhorse 1-0. Munday's stunning strike from 25 yards midway through the first half was his first goal for six months after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Dog and Fox Ashley gained revenge for their earlier 2-1 defeat by rivals Winsley as they reversed the scoreline to bring an end to the visitors' recent fine run. Andy Brooks, with his first goal of the season, gave the Dog the lead on 20 minutes which was doubled by Adam Bishop four minutes later. Goal-line clearances and the woodwork denied Winsley before Lee Bruton found the mark in the 80th minute to set up a tense finale.

Division One

FOR the second week running Maud Heath Sports suffered defeat in the final minute.

Ian Bailey's 85th minute equaliser against Colerne A looked to have salvaged a point for the Sports, after Jamie Bowler had put Colerne in front midway through the second period, but Tony Trottman sealed the Sports' fate when he scored in the dying moments earn Colerne's a 2-1 win.

Hullavington Village kept their sixth clean sheet of the season in a 3-0 win over North Star A, Carl Watkins scoring all three goals for the second placed team.

Goals from Leigh Wells and Simon Drewitt were not enough to save West Lavington from going down 7-2 against a George Lacock side who have now found the net 15 times in the past two games. Lacock suffered the worst possible start when the lost both Andy Joad and Andy Carpenter in the first 10 minutes. A bizarre incident saw the team-mates collide resulting in Joad being taken to hospital with a suspected broken check bone. Les Davies (3), Martin Symcox (2), Lee Carpenter and Scuffer Nash went on to score the winners goals.

Leaders All Cannings beat Bromham 9-0. Dean Potter led the rout with four goals and Martin Baker (3), Stuart Bevan and Chris Wrench completed the rout. Bromham played the final 20 minutes with only 10 players. Having used their substitutes they then lost Paul Young through injury.

Atworth United were on the wrong end of a 8-1 scoreline against Trowbridge Harriers. Scott Portsmouth scored for United, while Robbie Simmonds, John Hubbard and Paul Edwards hit doubles for the Harriers. Paul Mockeridge and Andy Cooper added singles.

Division Two

TERRY'S FC surrendered their 100 per cent record remain unbeaten after drawing 1-1 with Bradford Sports.

Nick Gant gave the Sports the lead after 20 minutes which was cancelled out by Ian Winterbottom's 40th minute deflected effort. Both teams were denied winners by the referee's whistle, with Mark Jones (Terry's) and Gant (Sports) having efforts ruled out.

Westbridge United surrendered top spot as they suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 3-2 at home to Potley United who are now rediscovering the form of last season. Liam Healy and Steve Healy put Potley 2-0 ahead before Paul Daly reduced the arrears. Mike Lloyd hit Potley's third before Daly struck again. but Westbridge were unable to recover from the two-goal deficit as they have done on a number of occasions already this season.

West End Wanderers regained top spot after a 4-1 win over Sutton Benger, Benger struck first through Nick Slade before goals from Nathan Mantle, Mark Woodward, Tony Kelly and Darren Whiting, with his first for the club, saw Wanderers to victory.

Wingfield lost the battle with fellow strugglers Miller Sports 4-1. Royston Aust, Steve Cleverley, Simon Scattergood and goalkeeper-turned-striker Nick Evans made up Sports' quartet. Steve Wells hit Wingfield's solitary effort. Sports' manager Tom Aust had to play the final 20 minutes, the 48-year-old replacing his son Martin.

North Bradley and Pig and Whistle shared a 2-2 draw. Dan Foster gave Bradley the lead from the penalty spot before Aaron Richardson equalised. Chris Gale put Bradley 2-1 in front before Wayne Painter hit the 70th minute equaliser. Bradley's Simeon Bush was outstanding in defence.

Old Lane United's game with Trowbridge Town Colts was postponed after the Colts' Chris Sadd was involved in a road accident just seconds away from the Derry Hill pitch.

Division Three

SEMINGTON Rovers swapped places at the top with Chippenham Black Horse after they defeated the Horse 2-0.

Kelvin Lockwood gave Rovers the lead when he fired home from an acute angle. Rovers had chances to move further ahead but found Black Horse goalkeeper Graham Jones in outstanding form and it was not until five minutes from time that 15-year-old Bobby Mitchell struck to secure two valuable points.

The Plough's woes continued after going down 10-2 away to Sir Audley's Arms. Keiron Smith (3), Wayne Burry (3), Steve Mallard, Steve Shipway, Rob Pocock and Adam O'Keeffe shared the Arm's goals. Russell Francis hit both for The Plough.

Stuart Thorburn gave AFC Unicorn a first half lead against Southwick Sports and Social Club and second half strikes from Dean Fry and Danny Box helped them secure a 3-1 win. Tom Mann scored for the Sports.

Rowde dominated the first half against Hare and Hounds but fell behind to a hotly disputed penalty early in the second half, which Jamie Bayes converted with ease. Gary Wootton hit a second as the Hounds ran out 2-0 winners.

Christian Malford edged away from the relegation zone following their 7-0 win over Corsham Park Rangers. Scott Evans, with his third hat-trick of the season, Jamie Mumms, with his first and Chris Pitman eased Malford to a unexpectedly high win. Rangers played the final 20 minutes with 10 men having lost goalkeeper Luke Wolf through injury.

Biddestone Social Club earned two valuable points in their quest to move up the table, Paul Poiner, John O'Meara, Mike Few and Danny Jones sharing the goals in their 4-2 win over North Star B. Shaun King and Nick Cawley replied,

Wiltshire Sunday Cup

IN an outstanding first round match Melksham Motor Spares had a comprehensive 16-2 win over Bradstone Rovers.

Simeon Mills led the rout with six goals and Andy Morrison (4), Merv Cox (2), Lee Randell (2) and Steve Purnell (2) set up a clash with Selectabook.

Harry Lawrence and Scott Wood scored for Bradstone, who started the game with 10 players and were reduced to nine after only two minutes when Alan Gordine was dismissed for handball.

In the second round Farmhouse FC progressed to the third round after a 2-0 win over The Bell. Bryn Holt and substitute Keith Taylor scored for Farmhouse, whose stand-in goalkeeper Mark Townsend had a good game.

Chippenham Police had a fine 5-2 win over Innogy Holding. Tim Culling (2), Paul Dodimead, Jason Roberts and an own goal saw them to an impressive victory. Goalkeeper Dave Hunt also saved a late penalty.
