TROWBRIDGE Town Youth Red made hard work of their home game against FC Chippenham in under nines Division One of the Wiltshire Times and News Mid-Wilts Youth and Minor League, but managed to take the lead after through Daniel Price.

Price scored his second shortly after followed by goals from Otis Young, Matty Perry and Mitchell Spackman leaving the half time score at 5-0.

Chippenham held fast in the second half but failed to get on the score sheet when a penalty shot went wide.

Sam Worsfeld earned the man-of-the-match award for another faultless defensive performance.

Under Nines Division Three

AFTER four straight defeats Trowbridge Town Youth Blue came back with a bang, running out 7-0 winners against Shaw and Whitley Blue.

It was one of those games where everything went right for the winners, but credit to Shaw and Whitley, who kept trying until the final whistle.

There were hat-tricks for Sam Creedy and James Cocker, with Matty Hayward scoring the seventh. Man-of-the-match for Trowbridge was Jamie Connor.

Under 10s Division One

AN excellent hard fought first half saw Calne Town Youth take a 1-0 lead over home side Westbury Youth when a fine save from the goalkeeper fell to the feet of a Calne player who made no mistake.

Westbury fought back in the second half determined to get back into the game.

The equaliser came mid-way through when the ball was fed to Jack Coxall, who went on to beat three defenders before shooting home in fine style. The remainder of the game saw both sides miss chances to leave the final score at 1-1.

Under 11s

DEVIZES Town overwhelmed a gallant Castle Combe Colts White by 8-1, with goals coming from Neil Clarke (2), Adrian Case, Daniel Hayward, James Moore, Alex Surman, Matthew Tilley and Chris Webb.

The Chippenham derby saw Town return from FC with all three points following a close encounter they won by 2-1. Kyle Braide scored for the home side.

Danny Humphries hit all three goals for Melksham Park at home to Castle Combe Colts Black but it was not enough to secure any points as the visitors found the back of the net four times.

Chippenham Town Rangers travelled to White Horse Leisure and aided their own downfall with two own goals. Other strikes for the home side came from Craig Berry, Tom Taylor and Craig Ewells as they won 5-2.

Under 12s

CALNE Town ran riot against Lavington Boys, running in 16 goals without reply. Jack Trowbridge (5), Ross Crichton (4), Luke Angus (3), Steven Hiscocks (2), Daniel Fidgett and Michael Hall were their marksmen.

Frome Collegians made home advantage tell against a gallant Castle Combe Colts side and ran out 8-1 winners. Goals came from Tom Dignan (4), Luke DiMaria (3) and James Hounsell.

Miles Copland's goal for Melksham Park B was not enough to stop the points going to Devizes Town, who scored 12 times.

Trowbridge Wanderers overcame a spirited Westinghouse Youth side and gained a 4-2 victory, with goals from Sam McQueen (2) and Ryan Child (2), with the replies coming from Aaron Priestley and Charlie Babb.

Darren Applegate grabbed both goals as Corsham Boys shared the spoils with Crescent Park Rangers in a four-goal thriller.

Westbury Youth A hosted Warminster Highbury and scored through Gary Sleeman, but the visitors found the target through Jay Pinnell (3) and Alan Donaldson to record a 4-1 victory.

Under 12s Blue Division

TROWBRIDGE Wanderers continued their winning ways by running out 4-2 home winners against Westbury Youth.

Ryan Child (2) and Sam McQueen (2) scored for Wanderers, with Charlie Babb and Aaron Priestly replying for Westbury.

Under 13s

CHIPPENHAM Town's game with Stratton Juniors was a game of two halves.

John McIlhinney and Daniel Clements put the home side 2-0 up at the break before the Swindon side staged a second half comeback.

Joseph Mills reduced the deficit with a penalty before Carmello Galati grabbed a late equaliser. The winner came 30 seconds from the end when Galati scored his second and secured all three points for the visitors.

Chippenham Town Rangers inflicted yet another heavy defeat on White Horse Leisure with a 10-0 win, thanks to goals from Simon Lawrence (4), Del Wood (3), Sam Pattison (2) and an own goal.

South Newton and Wishford ran Pewsey Vale ragged with another double figure scoring spree.

Scott Hibberd (3), Richard Tutton (2), Lewis Marchmont (2), Dan Targett (2), Michael Banks, Ashley Simon and Alex Williamson grabbed the goals in a 12-2 victory.

Ross Pollock hit a hat-trick for FC Chippenham in their home game with Corsham Boys. Brett Foster and William Symons added to that to give the home side a 5-3 win.

Six players found the target for Calne Town as they won 14-0 at Lavington Boys. Louis Gough led the way with five, followed by Paul Dixon (3), James Elliot (2), Adam Johnson (2), George Madden and Joe Chaffey.

Under 13s Red Division

SALISBURY Juniors remain top following a 6-1 win against Corsham Boys. Tom Nike scored for Corsham.

Under 14s Blue Division

TROWBRIDGE Wanderers ended a well fought first half against Corsham Boys at 1-1, with Adam Shackell scoring with a great solo effort.

Wanderers controlled the second half and took the game at 6-1 with goals from Daniel Thorne, Ashley Benison and a second hat-trick in two games for man-of-the-match Darren Holcombe.

Trowbridge Town Youth remain second despite being held to a 1-1 score line by Shaw.

Croft Juniors earned their first win since mid-September by running out 2-0 away winners over Durrington Rangers.

Shaw and Whitley moved up to third following their 2-1 away win against Warminster Highbury, with Alex Shaftoe scoring for Highbury.

Under 14s Red Division

JOE Singer scored early in each half to give leaders Bemerton Heath Harlequins a 2-0 away win over Shaw 2nds.

Despite the score line, Shaw's defence played extremely well against this very strong attacking side.

Marlborough remain hot on the heels of the leaders in second place following their 9-2 home win against FC Chippenham, with Andy Bull and Fraser Shaw-Morris scoring for Chippenham.

Under 16s Blue Division

CROFT Juniors suffered their first defeat of the season at FC Chippenham.

Chippenham took a 3-1 lead at the break and were down to 10 men following a sending off.

Despite their reduced numbers Chippenham increased their lead to 5-1 and with two more from Croft the final score was 5-3 to the home side. Lee Anteney (2), Rob Ivermee (2) and Rickey Hulbert scored for Chippenham.

Under 16s Red Division

CRICKLADE Youth remain top following a very physical but closely fought match against a strong Amesbury Juniors.

Ben Carter (2) and Dean Graham scored for Cricklade in a 3-2 home win.

Pewsey Vale played host to Warminster Town and both teams notched up their third draw of the season.

Credit must go to both sides for attempting to play good football on a very difficult pitch.

Pewsey started the stronger of the two controlling the midfield, but it was Warminster that took the lead late in the first half with a good move down the left ending with Tom Welch rising at the far post to head home.

The second half was more even with the equaliser coming after ten minutes.

Pewsey brought on Danny Burton and with his first touch of the ball he scored following an error from the Warminster goalkeeper who otherwise had an excellent game as did the Carl Lay, the Pewsey keeper.

Trowbridge FC took an early lead through Dave Appleyard in their away game against Redlynch and Woodfalls. Redlynch hit back late in the first half, scoring three goals in five minutes through Stuart Cromie, Nathan Welch and Anthony Fuller.

Trowbridge closed the gap in the second half with a goal from Paolo Rossi before Redlynch replied with a long range effort from Tom Herbert.

Rossi scored again for Trowbridge bringing the score to 4-3 before Cromie added a fifth.

Trowbridge never gave up and brought the game to 5-4 with Rossi completing his second-half hat-trick. Redlynch held on for a 5-4 victory in a close and competitive game.
