EMMERDALE star Seamus Gubbins will be dropping into a Calne pub to help celebrate its reopening on Saturday, December 8.
The Jolly Miller at Quemerford, Calne, has been closed for more than four months.
The new landlords, Richard and Annelise Freegard and David and Karen Young, have invited the soap star to join in the celebrations to relaunch the pub.
The welcome party kicks off at 3pm when the four new landlords will greet customers past and present.
Mr Young, who is a member of Wiltshire band Boys from County Hell, said: "When we opened on Monday we intended it to be a quiet affair, but the place was packed out and everyone was having a great time. We couldn't believe it."
The redecorating and other refurbishment work, including the fitting of new floors, was carried out by the landlords.
Friends also rallied around to help with the work.
The pub is owned by Wadworth Brewery in Devizes, and the company successfully applied for planning permission to carry out extensive structural work.
The pub finally opened its doors on Monday.
Mr Young said customers had flocked back.
He said: "We are looking forward to a successful future and judging by the response we had from people on Monday night I think things are going to be good."
