MONTHS of building work has been completed at Salisbury's Odeon cinema, giving the unique building a roof that could last for centuries.
"I'm delighted with it," said manager Ted Adams.
He is also pleased to see the end of scaffolding in the foyer and out on to the street.
"The scaffolding has caused congestion and disruption in queuing and the dust has been horrendous," said Mr Adams.
"So I'm very pleased to see the back of the builders - but I'm very impressed with their workmanship. It's good to see such craftsmanship today."
The main part of the £m project has involved replacing 15th century oak roof timbers, calling for highly specialised skills and done by a company from Bridgewater.
"If that roof lasted for 500 years, the new one should last even longer," said Mr Adams.
