CHIPPENHAM produced their best performance of the season in the second half to overcome a spirited Supermarine side.
The home side opened the scoring with a try from prop Shaun Atkin, followed soon after by a debut try for centre Gary Phillips. With Alun Jones converting, Chippenham looked set to end the first half with a big lead.
Supermarine battled back and scored an interception try following a mix-up in the home midfield.
This set back only served to spur Chippenham into an immediate response, with a try from full back Ian Banister following a well worked back line move.
The second half opened with a try from Dean Atkin. With forwards and backs combining well, further tries were scored by James Cook, Steve Ashman, Gary Phillips, Alun Jones and Ceri Morris (2). Morris also added three late conversions.
