AFTER all the criticism that has been handed out over the past year, may I suggest that congratulations are in order to the Devizes Development Partnership and Kennet District Council for the excellent Christmas fair that took place last Friday afternoon and evening.
The variety of stalls, the street entertainers and of course the arrival of Santa and the Christmas lights provided a superb atmosphere that lasted throughout the whole evening.
The firework display, although short, provided quality rather than quantity and was a fitting climax to a great event.
May we look forward to an even better one next year.
