A new stylish eating venue for the quaint, historic streets of Corsham, Cinnamon is a classy addition to the town's entertainment scene.
Opened last Friday, the restaurant is a joint venture between four friends.
With former chef to the stars Tony Chivers at the helm (he has formerly served up meals to the likes of Wet Wet Wet and Kylie Minogue at Peter Gabriel's Box studios) many are hoping this latest restaurant venture proves to be a resounding success.
Situated in the High Street on the site of the former Le Bistro, Cinnamon boasts a comfy, classic look based around a warm, cosy theme.
Arriving with two friends for a lunchtime treat, the blackboard menu was filled with tempting options including soup, quiches, rice dishes and continental sandwiches.
The daytime bistro also offers a wide range of drinks with a choice of Californian and French wines.
Choosing a beef goulash, the meal quickly arrived in a generous sized portion.
Tasty minced beef in a savoury sauce was topped off with sour cream on a bed of rice. It arrived piping hot with a choice of fresh bread.
Fiona opted for a tomato and mozzarella salad, which arrived with strips of Italian cheese and a tangy salad.
Sara chose a bacon and mushroom quiche with salad, which came with coleslaw and a rice salad.
Describing it as moist and herby, Sara said the meal was a perfect lunch-time choice.
We all chose wine to accompany the meal the white Californian served ice cold was crisp and refreshing.
We were then faced with a choice of homemade cakes and biscuits but were all tempted by the chocolate cake just 75p a slice.
Moist and fluffy, the cake reminded me of homemade recipes conjured up by my grandmother years ago.
Despite the posh interior, the lunchtime menu is very reasonably priced costing only £25 for three people.
The evening menu is more expensive with main courses ranging from £10 to £14.
Featuring a great choice of dishes including swordfish steak, lemon and garlic chicken breast and spinach roulade, the meals are all served with potatoes and fresh vegetables.
Coupled with a wide choice of starters and desserts, ranging from light toffee cheesecakes to the homemade cinnamon wraps, the individuality of the restaurant is at the centre of its charm.
