Budding gardeners from Westbury Leigh Primary School have been clearing rubbish from bridleways and planting daffodil bulbs on a local housing development as part of a healthy schools initiative.
A group of 24 children visited Persimmon's Westbury Leigh development and were kitted out in hard hats, fluorescent jackets and gloves.
Teacher Annie Wadman said: "It was a beautiful afternoon and we planted 290 bulbs."
The school has formed a community link with Persimmon Homes in an initiative to promote healthy choice and behaviour patterns in children.
