A TEAM of 20 people from Bradford on Avon's Christian Fellowship returned from South Africa safely, armed with memorable experiences.
The group, aged between 16 and 50, stayed at the old prison in Pietermaritzburg.
The building is now used as a pregnancy centre and an overnight shelter for the homeless. It also offers help for parents with HIV positive babies.
During their stay the group helped to paint the interior of the chapel and also looked after children in the orphanage.
Team member Paul Bailey said: "We really appreciated getting involved with the orphanage where we spent some time looking after eight babies and two small children whose parents had died or were dying of AIDS."
Other members of the team got involved in a project teaching townspeople to make and produce tablecloths, cushions, wall-hangings and others helped to teach in the primary school.
