LITERARY characters came to life at Hilperton Primary School on Thursday, December 6.
Children and teachers alike came to lessons dressed as characters from their favourite books as part of a book week held to help the children's literacy skills.
On Monday, December 3, Bradford on Avon author and illustrator, Mike Dickinson came in to talk to the youngsters.
The following day, Manchester theatre group Story Teller came in to perform Pinocchio.
To round off the week, children were allowed to come into school on Friday in their pyjamas, with their teddy bears, for a 'bedtime' story reading session.
Headteacher Sue Haldane said: "It went really well. The children enjoyed themselves and it gave their reading and writing a huge boost."
