MARK ROBINSON believes Wrexham may have done Town a big favour ahead of tomorrow's FA Cup tie at the County Ground.

The Red Dragons were unceremoniously dumped out of the competition by Hereford and Robbo feels that has sharpened the players' determination not to become victim number two.

The 33-year-old said: "The attitude in training this week has been spot-on.

"I think the fact that Hereford put out a league side may actually have helped our preparation.

"That should serve as a real warning. If it happened to Wrexham then it can happen to us.

"There is no complacency among the lads and we are all well aware of how important a win is for this football club and the supporters.

"But if we approach the game with the correct attitude and play to our potential then we should get through. And that's not being disrespectful to Hereford."

Robbo is enjoying a new lease of life back in the first team and he knows a good performance against the Conference side should hopefully enhance that feeling.

He said: "It's great to be back and I'm quite pleased with the way it's going.

"I'll be the first to admit that we didn't play as well as we can at Wigan and in the league it's still a case of two steps forward and one back.

"But a good cup run is very important."

A win tomorrow would see Town net £30,000 and that sum is put in to context when you remember the £20,000 received for the win over Hartlepool ensured there was enough in the County Ground coffers to pay the wages.

Robbo is the only survivor from the last time the two sides met.

During the 1995/96 season Hereford won 1-0 at the County Ground in the Auto Windscreens Shield.

Robbo recalls: "I don't think we approached that particular match as seriously as we should have done. Fair play to Hereford, they played quite well and Chalky (Steve White) scored the winner.

"But we went on to win the Second Division title that year so it didn't prove too upsetting in the long run.

"We just have to make sure they're not allowed to enjoy another win at our place."

Ticket prices for tomorrow's game are as follows: £10 (adults), £5 (concessions) and £3 (juniors). Supporters should note the Town End will not be open for the Hereford match.
