CHILDREN at Ann Edwards Primary School in South Cerney including Hannah Mills, five, pictured enjoyed an afternoon making decorations and joining in activities to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.

The workshop, run by volunteers from All Hallows Church in the village, was attended by more than 100 children in the school hall where Christmas carols were sung with the Rev John Calvert.

Children's leader Carolyn Kennedy, one of 30 volunteers who helped organise the workshop, said: "The children had a brilliant time taking part in Christmas activities which aimed to incorporate the Christian message of Christmas.

"They also had lots of fun designing Christmas cards."
