PEOPLE swapped the warmth of their beds for a night under the stars to bring attention to the problem of homelessness.
Around 40 people took out in the annual sleepout organised by Threshold Housing Link last night.
The event was organised to heighten the awareness of homelessness as Christmas approaches.
It will also help raise funds towards the £10,000 Threshold needs to maintain Culvery Court, its hostel for the homeless in Harding Street.
The 12th annual event was held in the grounds of Immanuel Church in Upham Road.
Hostel manager Phil Smith said: "The money goes into keeping the organisation running. It goes directly into the services as our administration costs are very low."
Evening Advertiser reporter Andy Blizzard was among those taking part in the sleepout. You can read about his experiences in a special report next week.
