Wootton Bassett United won the battle of the giants in the Junior Division when they defeated Swindon Eagles 1-0 despite playing with just nine men for 70 minutes.
Disaster struck for United after 13 minutes when Mark Westlake was sent off for having a "chat" with the referee and seven minutes later Richard Unwin was also sent off for doing likewise.
Down to nine men United rolled up their sleeves and fought like tigers and looked the better side up to the break.
After the restart United kept on top and midway through the half Steve Thomas found himself free on the right and his deep cross was headed into the net at the far post by Ian Curtis.
The Eagles then piled forward looking to save the game but United defended stubbornly, keeper Kenny Regan pushed a good effort from Wayne Petrie on to the post and made several other good stops.
Player manager Regan said after the game: "I was proud of every player, except the two that were sent off, they deserved to go.
"It was a fantastic result with nine men and I thought we edged the game until the last quarter."
Wroughton Reserves continue to lead the Junior section after their 3-2 away win over Bromham, Richard Perrett, Jamie Cowley and keeper Barry Phillips from the spot, his third in the last three games, scoring for Wroughton and Jeremy Thompson and Mark Bowden for Bromham.
Wroughton's senior side moved above Devizes in the Premier table after beating Melksham Town Reserves 3-1 scoring all four goals in the process.
The Swindon side's prolific scorer Glenn Armstrong opened the scoring midway through the first half with a shot from the byline getting a helping hand from the visitors' keeper.
Ten minutes later Melksham drew level when a cross was deflected into his own net by Wroughton's Vince Goodenough.
Five minutes before the break the home side regained the lead, Paul Blagdon netting after a scramble in the Melksham area.
After the interval Wroughton continued to shade the game and made sure of victory with a strike from Dave Guthry.
Devizes Town Reserves did their championship hopes no favours when they were beaten at home by Westbury United Reserves 1-0.
The all important goal coming midway through the first half through Steve Mundy and despite frantic efforts in the second half to get on terms the visitors hung on for a surprise victory.
Pewsey Vale's Tom Adams scored four for the second week running in his side's 6-0 win over Warminster Town Reserves, Neil Stephens and Mike Tarrant scoring the other two.
Biddestone gained a 2-0 win over Marlborough Town, Spencer Clifford bending a free kick around the Marlborough wall for the first and Jason Ritchie making sure with a second half strike.
Bradford Town also won 2-0 against Corsham Town Reserves, Mark Barnett and a second half goal from Robbie Simmons doing the damage.
Aldbourne picked up a useful three points with a 1-0 victory over Malmesbury Vics Reserves, Gavin Baron scoring the only goal in a fairly even game.
Leaders of the Intermediate section Blunsdon United were forced to work hard for their 1-0 away win over Calne Town Reserves after they had Danny Mackenzie sent off early in the game.
Mark Hammond scored for Blunsdon in the second half and the home side pressed the self destruction button by having two players sent off in the closing stages.
In the same section Ashton Keynes were also forced to graft hard for their 1-0 win against Dunbar Westside after Matt Charlton had missed a first half penalty. Michael Blackwell emerged as the Ashton hero scoring the winner ten minutes from time.
Marlborough Town Reserves kept up their recent good run defeating Ferndale Rodbourne in the Fountain Trophies Junior Cup 8-2, Brad Mildon collecting a hat-trick, Alan Harvey (2), Matt Dobson, Pete Ward and Jonathan Maslin the other scorers.
In the second round of the Plaister Autos Intermediate Cup Stratton Crosslink Reserves scored three without reply against Castrol, thanks to goals from Stuart Archer, Nicky Turner and Carl Savory.
Zarlink accounted for Biddestone Reserves in an exciting tie running 4-3 winners after extra time.
