TRAINING organisation Taurus has been given a boost with an unexpected gift of specialist equipment worth £500 from the Galactosaemia Support Group.
The donation, which includes books and computer software, will help educate people with varying degrees of learning difficulties.
Mareka Holt, 19, is believed to be the only sufferer of the rare disorder in Wiltshire. She has been part of the Taurus training scheme since March and says it has been an invaluable experience. Galactosaemia is a condition in which the body is unable to use a sugar called galactose.
