CHRISTMAS may be coming but you feel every day is December 25 for Paul Edwards.
The 21-year-old has been tremendous since bursting into the first team against Tranmere back in September.
His pace down the left flank has given Town a new attacking dimension.
But although his natural inclination is to get forward and supply crosses, he gets back and performs his share of the defensive duties.
His performance against Hereford showed up how much he has been missed in the last month.
Although he has to take a fair degree of good natured stick from his team-mates about his hair (or lack of it now) and his accent, he seems to thrive on the dressing room banter.
Here is a man who is happy to be playing out his 'dream'.
His goal against Hereford was of real quality.
Edwards ghosted past three defenders before planting a powerful shot beyond Matt Baker.
Surely the potential is there for him to score a lot more.
Having seemingly appeared from nowhere, he could yet prove to be the bargain of the season.
Defenders cannot keep up with him and as yet Edwards remains something of an 'unknown' in the football world.
But if he keeps working hard and listening to the advice of Roy Evans, it will not be too long before people start to sit up and take notice of the man from Manchester.
As Oasis might say,'You're doing alright our kid!
