Midfielder Steve Robinson felt Town had been caught slightly off-guard by their non-League visitors on Saturday.
Turbo said: "We started a little bit slowly and they were clearly up for it.
"They've scored a great goal and at half-time the gaffer said we had to buck our ideas up.
"But we did that in the second half and came out and did a professional job.
"We kept the ball well, did the right things at the right time and scored the goals at the right time."
The former Birmingham man said the players were well aware that they were on a hiding to nothing against their Conference visitors.
"We won, so maybe people won't make too much of a fuss but they certainly would have done if we'd lost.
