TOWN face a tough-looking trip to Manchester City in the third round of the FA Cup but the match could net the visitors a six-figure sum.
Roy Evans' men will travel to Maine Road on January 5 for an afternoon of reunions.
City boss and former Liverpool legend Kevin Keegan was at Anfield with Evans in the early seventies.
Mancunian winger Paul Edwards gets a trip home, while keeper Richard McKinney will be able to catch up with the friends he said goodbye to in the summer.
Evans said: "It'll be a tough old game that's for sure.
"Manchester City have no problems scoring goals but they also concede a fair few.
"They are a massive club with fans who've stuck with them through thick and thin.
"It will be a real challenge for our lads but a match to look forward to."
With City averaging gates of 32,000, the prospect of a financial windfall is not lost on Town chief executive Pete Rowe.
He said: "We could be looking at six figures here. That would be a huge boost for the club. It should also be a great day out for the supporters."
