Wiltshire police have launched Operation Snowflake, a campaign to advise elderly and vulnerable people how to avoid becoming victims of crime.
Elderly folk are sent a Christmas card which has advice and top tips to beat crime and key contact numbers.
Cards are being distributed to homes throughout the county with the assistance of organisations such as Age Concern, Neighbourhood Watch, Wiltshire Special Constabulary and The Bobby Van Trust.
They will also be available at police stations.
