CHIPPENHAM Town have secured the services of James Bent on a further month's loan from Nationwide Conference outfit Yeovil Town.

Bent's loan expires on January 9 and the home Wiltshire Premier Shield clash with Melksham Town will be his last in a Chippenham shirt unless a permanent deal can be agreed.

Chippenham have asked the Yeovil to name their price for the 21-year-old, who bagged his tenth goal for Chippenham in Saturday's 6-0 trouncing of Evesham United. Bent still feels he has a future at Conference level and the Bluebirds will be unable to extend his loan period when it expires.

Bluebirds secretary Chris Blake said: "Three is the maximum number of times you can extend a loan period for any one player, but we would be hoping to sort out a permanent transfer. It is purely down to James now."

Chippenham are awaiting an answer on whether they can let supporters in free for the clash with Clevedon Town on January 12. The initial game was abandoned due to floodlight failure.

The club have announced Boxing Day's derby with Swindon Supermarine will kick off at 11am.
