PUPILS at Grittleton House School have been up to all kinds of antics to raise cash for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Last week, Simon Holmes and Leon Gray, both 14, took on the hair-raising challenge of having their right legs hot waxed and shaved in the school's Yellow Gallery.
"They were very brave and had lots of girls holding their hands," said school secretary Lisa Watson.
Eight pupils took to the school field in fancy dress for a side-splitting cross country run.
Tim Piper, 16, Jessica Blake, 15, Patra Pierce, 16, Jenna Keller, 16 and Tom Bradshaw, 15, all dressed as fairies.
Dan Pitts, 16, sent pulses racing dressed as Cher, while 15-year-old Lucy Pickford struck a pose dressed as Noddy.
"Everyone looked wonderful and it was a terrific run," added Mrs Watson.
"They looked hot and bothered but it was a hilarious event and well worth doing."
Mrs Watson said the school hopes to raise £1,000 in total through a succession of events.
Today, the school holds a jumble sale to raise more cash.
