CROWDS of people lined the streets when the Queen and Prince Phillip made their historic visit to Malmesbury on Friday.

The Mayor John Bowen welcomed the Queen to the town hall, where she attended a reception.
Inside she met representatives from the town's community and people from the voluntary and emergency services.
After the reception, the Queen walked from the town hall, through Market Way and into Oxford Road.
"There were so many people, it was thrilling, really fabulous," said Coun Bowen. "Walking through the streets with the Queen, the town reacted so well and it was a very warm welcome."
At the Market Cross, the Queen and Prince Philip paused to sign an official picture commissioned by the town branch of the Royal British Legion, to be presented to the town council.
Walking through the Tolsey Gates to the abbey, the path was lined by schoolchildren and wellwishers.
