Happy Birthday, Jesus, a costumed production by 120 charmingly costumed Key Stage 1 children, won warm applause from parents and friends at Longleaze School, Wootton Bassett, on Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 December.
Enthusiastic young performers portrayed glittering angels, twinkling stars, shepherds and sheep, Mary, Joseph, the three Kings bearing gifts and the animals in the stable including the donkey
Donations were invited for the Evolution Appeal, to finance much needed equipment for Swindon's new Great Western Hospital.
The school is also celebrating its results in the league table of Standard Attainment Tests for Key Stage 2
Head teacher Anne Glenton said: "We are very pleased with our results," she said. "They should be read in the knowledge that they include the results of children who are admitted from Wootton Bassett into Longleaze's Specialist Learning Centre. We try to help every child to fulfil their potential.
"This year a great proportion of our children gained the higher Level 5 and one child attained Level 6."
