Many smaller voluntary organisations are breaking the law by not providing employment contracts and paid holiday for their employees, according to Voluntary Action Kennet. It says that all employers are obliged, according to employment law, to provide a written statement of terms and conditions to all employees within two months of their starting employment. There is also a legal right to four weeks' paid leave a year for full-time staff and the pro-rata equivalent for part-timers and casual staff.
