PUPILS at Avon Middle School, Salisbury, raised £2,300 by taking part in the national Super Schools programme.
A total of 150 children took part in the programme of keep fit exercises during a visit to the school by Olympic 400m runner Jamie Baulch.
They netted an average of more than £15 a pupil in sponsorship and the total - the highest by a Salisbury school - will be shared between Avon Middle and the Super Schools project.
Avon Middle's share is to be spent partly on a computerised system for the school library.
