COMPANY representatives from Marlborough had the opportunity to share ideas and discuss mutual interests when they met at the Castle and Ball Hotel for one of the town's twice-yearly business lunches.
The event, held last Wednesday, was organised by Claire Bendle, of Quiney Jaggar solicitors, and the first drinks for guests were courtesy of brokers Brewin Dolphin.
Fourteen businesses were represented at the lunch organised in conjunction with the Marlborough Chamber of Commerce.
Mrs Bendle said: "Although there is a large number of businesses in Marlborough, we don't tend to get to see each other much.
"These lunches are a good way of catching up on what is going on in local businesses and keeping in touch with other businesses in the town.
"It also gives everyone an opportunity to get to know the people behind the businesses and to learn a little bit about what they do."
Mrs Bendle said there was a cross section of local business represented including the professional sector.
Representatives from some of the town's shops were also at the lunch.
