CHILDREN at Ogbourne St George and St Andrew's School played to packed houses when they presented The Pied Piper at St George's Church.
Parents, friends of the school and villagers were invited to the two performances on Tuesday and Wednesday evening last week.
All 59 pupils from the school took part in the production, which involved a great deal of singing.
Headteacher Judith Evans said she encouraged the children to be musical.
She said: "It was the traditional Pied Piper story with words and songs, which I produced with help from Penny Stanley."
There was plenty of colour too. All of the children were dressed in bright costumes which were made by parents and the friends of the school.
Money raised from donations given at the performances will go towards a floor robot.
The programmable computer equipment is needed by the school as part of its IT syllabus.
Tomorrow the children will be wearing Tudor and Stuart period dress when they visit the Merchant's House in Marlborough as part of their history studies.
Villagers will be welcome to attend the school's nativity play, which will take place in St George's Church next Monday at 2pm.
