MORE than 40 children took the opportunity to attend an all-day Advent workshop in Marlborough.
The workshop was run by St Mary's Church and took place in the church hall in Silverless Street.
Organiser Janet Taylor said 42 children from Marlborough and the surrounding villages took part in the event, enjoying a series of craft activities.
Mrs Taylor said: "We run this workshop every year on the first Saturday in Advent."
Joined by a team of helpers, Mrs Taylor encouraged the children to take part in silk and pebble-painting and making Christmas cards and bookmarks.
The children also tried their hand at making Christmas puddings and the art of origami.
The day was enjoyed by children aged up to ten.
It ended with a service in St Mary's Church led by Mrs Taylor, who is a lay pastoral assistant with the Marlborough team.
