DEVIZES slipped to a home defeat despite leading for much of Saturday's clash.
The hosts began with some fine handling and it came as no surprise when Dave Bury rounded off a threequarter move after ten minutes.
Devizes contained the larger visiting pack at set-pieces and Ian Carter gave their defence cause for concern with some charging runs in loose play.
Oakmedians levelled against the run of play when their right-winger ran from deep to score following a penalty.
The hosts restored their five-point advantage when a sweeping movement involving a dozen players ended with Brian Turner going over and Bury stretched the lead with his second try after a fine run.
But the visitors took advantage of a defensive mistake to score before the interval and scored a converted try in the second period to clinch victory by two points.
