BUDDING young filmmakers in Warminster could see their work on the big screen nationwide thanks to a new community project.
Warminster Youth Services and Suited and Booted Community Video are looking for young people in and around the town interested in acting, directing and camera work to produce a short film based around the trials and tribulations of a rock band.
The project will give youngsters the chance to work with professional actors and crew.
Funded by a Film Council initiative and supported by local organisations, the finished product will be screened at film festivals nationwide and could be broadcast on television and on the internet.
Sara Strickland, Suited and Booted producer, said: "It is a unique project and gives young people a voice that will be heard by a lot of people.
"It's more enjoyable than writing a report and a rare opportunity for them to make a film in a professional way."
If you are committed and interested in taking part in this project, phone Alison Collier on (01985) 218561 or email warminst@wccyouth.org.uk for further details and an application form.
