UP to 20 people are to lose their jobs at Praxair in Swindon as part of a restructuring programme by the US-based company.
The Drakes Way site, which employs 120 people, is the UK headquarters, with three other sites around the country.
The job cuts are part of a restructuring programme ann-ounced in September involving 900 jobs worldwide. It has more than 23,500 staff in 40 countries
A spokeswoman said that the consultation period with those affected had just started, but it was hoped that the losses would be achieved through voluntary redundancy.
The Swindon site is involved in coatings for aircraft parts, a market sector that has been badly affected world-wide by the present economic downturn.
