MEN in Swindon were given the chance to find the perfect present for those special women in their lives at a "bloke's shopping night".

The event took place at Asda Wal-Mart in West Swindon, where men were invited to sample beer and curry while choosing the ideal Christmas gift.

Staff were available to give advice and help with wrapping to ensure a disappointment free Christmas morning.

Customer services manager, Sarah Scott, said: "The evening was held to give men a bit of help because we did a survey which showed that a lot of them don't always get the right present for the woman in their lives.

"We had beer and curry in the caf and staff were wearing bloke's night T-shirts. There was also a perfume counter where men could get advice on which perfume to buy.

"We had a really good response."
