STEVE ROBINSON could have been plotting Town's downfall tomorrow had it not been for a sluggish performance in Birmingham City's reserve side.
Turbo was all set to join Lou Macari's side on loan before Andy King secured his services.
Fortunately, a mediocre performance for Birmingham's second string saw Macari lose interest and the rest is history.
Robinson said: "I'd had a nightmare with injuries at Birmingham.
"Trevor Francis told me Lou Macari was coming to watch the reserves. I didn't have a good game. I was really sluggish and that's the last I heard of their interest."
Fortunately, Andy King did show an interest and the midfielder has not regretted his move for a moment.
He said: "Andy King knew I wasn't fit but he'd seen enough of me in the past to give me a go.
"I came to Swindon and although we had a real scrap to stay up last season, I think we've improved and could be higher in the table with a little bit more consistency."
Robinson does not feel he has anything to prove to Macari, who was briefly manager at St Andrews when Turbo was on schoolboy forms. He is more interested in locking horns with one of his old pals.
He said: "I'm hoping Chris Holland gets picked for them because he's a good mate from our days at Birmingham together.
"We've never played against each so I'm looking forward to that."
The midfielder knows Town can expect a tough battle, whoever lines up for the Terriers.
He said; "Lou Macari's sides are usually strong, fit and well organised but I think we've got enough in our side to get the three points. A win gets us pushing up the league again."
Goals win games and Turbo is well aware that his contribution this season has been rather sparse.
He said: "Earlier in the season I was playing quite deep but I have made more of an effort to get forward.
"But apart from one shot I missed against Wrexham, I don't really think I've had that many clear-cut chances.
"But, yes, I'm due a goal so why not against Huddersfield?"
