HUNDREDS of OAPs turned out at Bath's ABC cinema on Monday for a free showing of the Christmas classic Scrooge, co-sponsored by the Bath Star.
The screening, an annual tradition for the cinema on Westgate Street, was attended by in excess of 300 pensioners who were greeted with a mince pie and raffle draw, courtesy of the Bath Star.
Presenting the raffle prizes, news editor Jeremy Smith said: "It has been a great pleasure to be involved with this Christmas show and what better way to get into the Christmas spirit than by watching a festive movie."
Cinema manager Keith Rowland said that the screening of the 1951 festive classic had been a terrific success.
He said: "This year was another successful show for the senior citizens of Bath. Everyone commented on the pleasure they got from seeing the film and getting together with others over a mince pie.
"We thank the Bath Star for all its help."
