DEPUTY mayor Stan Pajak has donned biker leathers and joined Swindon's answer to the Village People.
Coun Pajak makes his debut on Saturday night for a performance of 1970s disco hit YMCA, joined by other members of the Queen's Park Community Council.
The council's annual Christmas show will also feature Christmas carols and a short version of Cinderella in which Coun Pajak will also play the fairy godmother.
He is not Swindon's only game-for-a-laugh politician to dress up for a good cause.
Last week mayor David Cox donned tights, a dress and a feather boa to play an ugly sister in a community production of Cinderella.
Coun Pajak said: "I think the mayor's cross dressing was a great thing, though perhaps not suitable for the council chamber.
"I think it's good at this time of year that we should all have a bit of fun."
The show starts at 5pm on Saturday in the Queens Park Social Hall on Euclid Street.
