I REALLY must protest about the article in the Evening Advertiser this week regarding the Disability Resource Centre.
Their posters caught the eye of members of Moose International, who raise much money for charitable purposes every year. In response we donated £100 to this worthy cause, which they told us had come just in time to enable them to stay open until the end of November.
Our members (a few of whom are disabled themselves) were planning to hold another function to help the centre.
It might not make such a good story as "Is £10 all Swindon can spare" but surely to acknowledge the donation by Moose International might have prompted other similar organisations in Swindon to do likewise?
