A COMPANY boss has pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified after police stopped him in one of his company cars.
Keith Edwards, 47, of Quarry Edge, Kingsdown, near Box, appeared before magistrates in Chippenham on Monday.
He also admitted having no insurance and trying to resist or obstruct police.
Edwards became worried after the incident and gave himself up for questioning by police. "Mr Edwards said he had given the false details in a panic and had driven because the car had just had an MoT," said Amanda Sawetz, prosecuting.
Edwards has been ordered to re-appear before magistrates again on January 7 at 2pm. Magistrates said they were considering a community penalty and have asked for reports.
